Since I don't blog on Sundays I'm going to be very flexible on when posts for this hop go up.  I will check and update the linky on Monday February 18th.  All posts must be live by noon Eastern Time on Monday February 18th.


Hop Rules:

• You must giveaway something a reader, blogger or author would enjoy.
• This hop has a limit of 4 possible entries.  Only 1 can be mandatory and any others must be optional.  Be aware that many people do not have a twitter or facebook account.  If your mandatory entry requires to follow you on twitter or like you on facebook you are automatically excluding people who may want to enter.  Entries must be simple and be able to be done on one visit to your blog.  
• Your blog & giveaway must be family friendly.  If you have steamy book covers in your header or sidebar you will be deleted from the linky.  I should be completely comfortable viewing your site with my husband or any one of my 5 children sitting by my side. If in doubt please ask.  I've been a little lax in the past but beginning with 2013 Hops I will be much more strict.
• Your giveaway must be specifically for the hop.
• If you are using rafflecopter the top left corner can only say 4 possible entries.  If you mark a task as being worth +10 that counts as 10 entries and will get you deleted from the linky list.  Please see these examples: (Correct Rafflecopter - Unacceptable Rafflecopter).

Giveaway: Stuck in a Good Book Hop

Second giveaway, folks!

For most of us, there has been a book that grabbed us by our throats and didn't let go. There were some books that made that grade this year, but if I had to pick one, it would be "Home Front" by Kristin Hannah. The story of Michael and Jolene, whom have had trouble in their marriage gets worse when Jolene is deployed to Iraq. Michael has to raise his two daughters by himself and when tragedy strikes, he and Jolene have to fight their own war in order to save their  family. I loved reading this book (and Kristin's others as well) because she has the ability to jerk your heartstrings and leave an impression with each story.

This will run similar to the hops I usually host but will have a requirement that you give away a banned or challenged book or include information about Banned Book Week as part of your giveaway post.

The dates for the hop are September 28th to October 6th.

RULES:

1. The Banned Books Week Giveaway Hop Images needs to be part of your post.

2. Include the linky list with all the participating blogs at the end of your post OR link to this blog & I Read Banned Books.

3. You giveaway must be related to Banned Book Week - You can giveaway a book that has been banned or challenged or if you are giving away a gift card you must post some information about Banned Book Week.

4. Keep It Simple!! Keep the way to enter your giveaway as simple as possible. 1 Mandatory entry and no more than 5 optional extra entries. All entries must be able to be done on one visit to your blog - Entries such as tweet once a day are NOT allowed (tweeting once is fine).
You must turn off word verification/CAPTCHA if you are requiring more than one comment for entries - If you are concerned about spam then enable comment moderation.  If you are using Rafflecopter you can only have 6 possible entries per person.

This is the largest book hop of the year and I hope everyone can participate. 

What is a giveaway hop?
Simple - Each participating blog hosts a giveaway and then we link up together allowing our followers to hop easily from one giveaway to another.
For followers this means lots of chances to win free books.
For blogs hosting a giveaway it means lots of new visitors.
It's a win-win!

Each participating blog will host their own giveaway. There is no requirement on the minimum or maximum value of your giveaway. It's up to you to decide. You can give away books, swags, amazon gift cards, or anything else you can think of that has to do with books. Your giveaway can be as simple or as elaborate as you want but you must giveaway something free (no half off coupons).
